23 May 2018, Jakarta Chinese Palm Oil giant Tianjin Julong group believes new technologies and innovation is the key to a more sustainable future in the Palm Oil industry.

The group covers the complete palm oil industrial line from upstream cultivation of oil palm, oil processing, storage and transportation to downstream packaging and marketing of consumer packaged vegetable oils. This also includes research and development in oils and fats products, making the Group into one of the oldest, largest and most influential leading enterprises in the palm oil industry of China.

A key player in China’s Belt & Road Initiative, the group is excited about incorporating BPP/Agraria’s two key technologies, SPECTRA™ Nano-Particle Lipid Esters and BARformula Composting Technology. With SPECTRA™ the group hopes to see an increase in CPO extraction from the emulsified layer and with BARformula, converting waste into organic fertiliser to minimise plantations’ dependence on chemical fertiliser and simultaneously rehabilitating soil biodiversity.

As the demand for Palm Oil grows to meet an increasingly populated world, sustainability is the responsibility of all industries and innovative technologies can not only solve many of the present issues but  as with BPP/Agraria’s technologies - increase profitability for companies adopting sustainable practices.
